Daily Comics Digression #48: Magneto Needs No Gas For His Car, Fool!

I've done a few bits lately that have been a bit on the heavy side, so I'll toss something light at you today. It's always good to step back and remember how funny superheroes can be sometimes. During the seventies, there was a Fantastic Four cartoon where Magneto drove a purple car powered by his magnetic power. He even has the gall to drive to a gas station so he can rub it in the attendant's face. He then proceeds to take out his anger on a "No Parking" sign. Seriously. The writers of this show must have had some traffic related anger to work out or something. Magneto proceeds to call on the Fantastic Four at the Baxter Building like a door-to-door salesman. His goal? He wants to join the team. Ultimately, Mr. Fantastic defeats Magneto with a wooden gun. Nope, not kidding.

I should also mention that because of some licensing issues, this Fantastic Four cartoon didn't even have the full original cast. They had to replace the Human Torch with a really annoying robot. I'm still not making this up.
