Daily Comics Digression #24: Lame Villains Who are Sorta Cool
Daily Comics Digression #24: Lame Villains Who are Sorta Cool
Here's a short one for Friday. Did you know that Daredevil used to fight really, really bad villains? Like the lamest. Today, let's take a look at Stilt Man!
Stilt Man was a criminal who had a metal suit. Unlike Iron Man's armor, which actually had weapons and gadgets and was actually useful, Stilt Man had telescoping legs that made him...taller.

Aww what the hey, I can't actually roast this guy to hard. I'm actually one of the few people who actually thought the design of this character was actually pretty cool. Sure, he's lame if he's fighting anyone but Daredevil, but you have to realize that early on, DD couldn't really fight villains that were too powerful. He had super senses, sure, but he was also...you know...blind. In addition, Daredevil is fully human. No super strength like Spider-Man or even Captain America. One good blow to the head, and he's down for the count. A villain who could shoot his telescoping legs at you actually posed a threat, and there's something about the design of Stilt Man that I somehow like.
So here's to the lame villains! Sometimes they find a way to worm their way into your heart. Let me know in the comments if you have a weird villain who is really lame, but you really like them.
